Eat. Pray. Love.

There's this thing called insecurities. They affect both women and men and they do not come with a warning. One day you simply become aware of certain aspects of either you or your life and if they don't please you, you become insecure about them. It's like an attack! One day you feel perfectly fine and the next day you have all kinds of thoughts that make you believe you are not good enough.
This happened to me, like it happens to a lot of people, at a young age... but I managed to deal with it and to overcome some of these insecurities, these fears.
It was definitely not an easy task and it took me many years and many tears but now I am much more assured of myself as woman, as person and as a human!

Every single person in the world has had or may still have a little "bug" in their heads telling them "You must be like this! You must not do this! Be like her/him!" and much more. Like every single person in the world I have had this "bug" in my head and some days I still have it...
These thoughts come to your mind probably because you don't value yourself enough or at all really. I know I didn't...
There are parts of me, of my life that I do not like at all and sometimes I wish they would disappear... But that's not possible and if it was I wouldn't be complete.
All things negative in people's lives have a purpose and people should not wish them not to be. I would not be me if I hadn't gone through the negative phases of my life. People would not be themselves if they hadn't experienced the things they did, negative or positive.

Everything we go through, everything we are part of was meant to be. Every experience, event, thought, feeling is another piece of our lives that is joining the things we've been gaining from day one! I am never going to be happy if I don't accept every lesson life has to offer me!

The movie "Eat Pray Love" is one movie that has thought me a lot about life. Every time I watch it I learn another lesson.
Lesson 1 - Eat, food is to be enjoyed: Food is one of my lovers, my passions but I was always very self-conscious about eating. I always felt guilty about eating certain things and I didn't let myself enjoy the meals I had. That part of my life is over!
Lesson 2 - Pray, God is always there to help you: I don't believe in commiting to a religion but I do believe there is something in this world, something above us all. I call it God! He or She is always there for me and has always been. This supernatural force is not what got me through though times but it helped, gave me hope!
Lesson 3 - Love, it's the most powerful force in the world: People, food, objects, moments, feelings are some of the things that deserve our love, If they have made you happy then you should love them with all your heart!
Lesson 4 - Love Yourself: People have got to love themselves, they have to accept their features and experiences and embrace them even if they don't like them. All those features and experiences are what makes us ourselves.
Lesson 5 - Fear: It's okay to be afraid, to not know what's next. Sometimes you just have "To Let Go And Let God"!
Lesson 6 - Enjoy Life: It's important to enjoy life as it is given to you because it is a blessing. Life does have its ups and downs but at the end of the day it's all going to be okay and you've got to be grateful about that.

There's a lot more to say about this movie and the lessons I was able to get from it but for now I think this is gonna have to do. I will definitely write more blog posts like this because I really liked this post and I am happy and proud to share my experiences, opinions and points of view.
Be sure to follow me on Bloglovin' and all my other social media, as well as my Youtube channel. Come back in a couple of days for a brand new post! :)

Chapter One

Yesterday was a good day for me! I was already feeling confident and happy from something that happened to me this past weekend and also I was really super duper excited about Ella Henderson's album 'Chapter One' as it came out! I had been waiting for this for over a year and I was looking foward to listening to all of the songs, the whole album. And that's what I did!!

This is not supposed to be a review of the album but it will partially be a type of review. I am writting this post to express the love I have for this amazing girl and everything she is as an artist and as a person.

I actually only started watching 'The X Factor UK' in 2012, the season she was in. Before that I had never watched the show, something I really regret. I watched her audition and I immediately fell in love and from that moment till the end of the season she was my favourite contestant.
Little Mix are my favourite band as well as some of the people who really inspire me and as they were mentored by Tulisa when they were contestants on the show I really wanted Ella to be in Tulisa's group. It happened just like I wanted it to and I was so happy!

I wanted her to win the show so bad and when she was voted off I was gutted and I cried and kicked doors... I was that in love with her! I had to pick another contestant to be my favourite and that place was took by Mr. James Arthur who is (1) one of my inspirations, (2) one of my crushes and (3) one of my favourite singers of all time.

But the reality here is: she quickly became one of my favourite artists and so this album is very important for me. It's her journey, her hard work, her passions, her experiences and her soul all in one place for everyone to enjoy and connected with. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I only listened to the album a few times but I already have favourite songs. Obviously 'Missed', she sang it when auditiong for the show and that is one of the reasons I fell for her and it's such a beautiful great song; 'Hard Work' has got the most beautiful lyrics; 'The First Time', I relate with the lyrics and I love her voice on this song; 'Five Tattoos', I really liked this one when I first heard it on her Vevo channel; 'Glow', her second single, I really like to hear her sing this acoustically; 'Mirror Man' is really catchy; 'Empire', her vocals are killer; '1996' because I relate to the lyrics and also because I'm a "Little Miss from '96".

One thing I am really looking foward is seeing her on tour! Hopefully it won't take long for her to announce she doing one and dates, places and I hope she comes here and if she doesn't I might have to go to England just to see her perform.

Hogwarts is my Home

Want to know what obsessions have I had since being shorter than my fridge... Than you should read this post!

Hello everyone! Today I bring yet another "Get To Know Me" blog post because I really enjoy writting these types of posts. Hopefully you like to read them...
I did a blog post where I mentioned that one of my favourite sagas of all time is Harry Potter and I even attached a gif image of Harry where it says that Hogwarts is his home. Hogwarts is a fantastic home to have, I think...
Having that "saying" - I know it's not a saying but it should be! - stuck in my mind I thought I'd write something... and it did not take me long to figure out I should write a personal blog post where I share with you the things I am passionate about because my mum is passionate about those things... Basically what passions my mum passed on to me!

So here it goes...

My love for The Harry Potter Saga is my mum's fault

And I became obsessed with movie sagas and the books their based on

And now whenever there's a really great book that is going to be on the big screens I immediately buy the book, read the book and then I watch the movie as soon as it's on theatres

Speaking of books

I am a little book worm, as well as my mum

Home decor is also something we both really like

I believe in things like "carpe diem" and "the law of attraction" partially because of her

Saving Moments

Hello everyone! Last year I was on Tumblr and I saw something about this "jar of memories", which basically is one very good idea to for saving memories. If you are not aware of what this is basically you start collecting pictures, receipts, papers, anything that can fit in a box or a jar, at the beginning of the year. The things you collect have got to represent a positive memorie or experience that you created that year. You do this throughout the whole year and at it's end you open your box or jar and you go through all of the things you did that year.
I did this in 2013 and I am doing it this year and it's a great idea. And keep in mind that the "memories you save" don't have to be big, it can be something as simple as going for a walk in the park that really makes you relax or meeting up with a friend you haven't seen forever.

I will make a video at the end of this year where I am going to tell some of my memories of this year and how I felt when they happened. I think that from my video you will be able to see how a small simple thing really is a great memory to be saved. So if you'd like to see that subscribe to my channel - link's on the "Youtube Tab" above - and make sure you go there on the 31st of December.

That is all for now. I'll talk to you in a couple of days!

Tips on being organised

There's something I pride myself for being... organised. Since I can remember I've always been an organized person and it really helps me a lot with things in my life, whether they are big or small. But of course I am still, at times, messy... it's good for me to be like that sometimes because then I will feel really happy whilst "cleaning"or "putting all of my things into their right place".

As I am trying to be the best blogger and vlogger I can be, so that both my blog and my channel grow, I have to be organized... plan my posts and videos, have a writting or filming schedule and a posting and uploading schedule.
For me being the best I can be comes a bit from organizing myself in preparition for the "event".

And I know not all people are organised... I bet most of the people in the world would like to be like that but we don't always get what we want. And this post is exactly for those people! I am going to try to give some tips on how to be organised and be aware, it's probably not going to be easy if you don't like doing some of the things I am going to give tips on. But life's just like that, for everyone!

Tip 1 - Plan! Make lists!
If you have an "event" coming up - like a test or a party, which I know are complete opposites but this works for either of them - you should plan ahead. Take an afternoon to plan, and maybe even schedule, what you have to do in preparation for that and than stick to that plan.

Tip 2 - Sticking to your plans or schedules
One thing you should do to your plan or schedule is to put it somewhere you look at very often. The fridge door or a board where you keep all your important things would be the perfect places.

Tip 3 - Notes on your phone
Everyone is very attached to their phones nowadays, myself included - Even though I have the crappiest phone ever! - and one thing I like to do is write little notes on my phone, about important things I've got to do. At the end of the day or the week, depending on how important the notes are, I will open those notes I made on my phone and I will write them down on my agenda.

Tip 4 - Agendas or Notebooks
I have got a lot of notebooks that I use as an agenda and I also have an agenda, which I don't use as often because I've got the notebooks. Buy one of those, always have it with you and use it to write important dates, projects, things you want to do, researches you might have to make or, if like me you have a blog or/and a youtube channel, ideas for blogposts or videos.

Tip 5 - Stationery
This is one of my loves in life. I always like to buy too much stationery bits even if I don't have any use for them because I know that one day I will use them. And that tends to happen because I am always writting things, usually on loose papers or random notebooks that I use for something else. When it all gets a bit too messy I get my binders, colorful pens, sticky notes and things like that and I organise all my papers into categories.

These are some tips on how to be organised. I want you to try them and then come back to this blogpost and comment down what were the results. If you want me to do another post like this on a specific subject just comment down below. If you want me to make a video on this topic just let me know. I hope this has helped even if just one of you!

Don't forget to check out my channel as well as all my other social media sites. I will talk to you in a couple of days :)

The X Factor UK

Hello everyone! The X Factor UK is currently happening and it has been for a few weeks now. It's almost live shows time and I am the most excited I've ever been in my life!
This is the first year I am honestly so torn between so many great people. Usually, at Bootcamp and Judge's Houses, I feel emotional about a few performances and from that I pick a couple of favourites. But not this time...
First of all the amazing judging panel is just amazing:
Simon, The Great God of X Factor, is back.
Louis is still in the panel and each year I gain more and more love for him.
Cheryl, the sweetest most adorable person of all, is also back.
And finally Melanie Brown, aka. Mel B, is just spicy - saw what I did there?... But seriously she is just amazing and I love more more and more from weekend to weekend.

Then we've got the contestants... I love multiple contestans from each and every category! I am so torn and I just want all of them to win and be succesful and great and I want to be friends with all of them because they are just so freaking good and they make me feel quite emotional and I love them all! - That was a long one...

From the boys we have: Andrea Faustini, Paul Akister and Jake Quickenden. I love the 3 boys!
Andrea is an italian god who loves pugs and I just love him, his personality and of course his voice and the way he performs in general. ♥
Paul is so humble, such a great singer and I've loved him since last year. I reminds me of James Arthur, just a little bit. I love him! ♥
Jake is very good looking but what I really love his the way he performs, he gives all he's got and more and he sings with such passion! I love it!

"Yeah! Like pugs!"

"Simon: Paul, I think both me and you had a great time during that performance!"

From the girls we have: Chloe Jasmine, Stephanie Nala and Lauren Platt.
Chloe, I love her! She is gorgeous and her voice, her taste in music is so beautiful! ♥
Steph's voice is very pretty, like her!
Lauren has got something about her... She absolutely beautiful and I love her style as well as her voice!

From the groups we have: Only The Young, The New BoyBand and Blonde Electra.
I was very excited about Only The Young because I saw their videos on Youtube - thanks to someone who asked me on Twitter to check out their Youtube channel! - and I really liked them... their voices, their style, their type of music. I liked everything and so I am very excited to see their journey on X Factor! ♥
The New BoyBand is just very exciting to watch and to listen to. There are a few members that I quite liked from previous seasons of the show and that combined with new members just gives it a lot of an interesting fact!!
Blonde Electra are not my type of artists but still I want them to do well because they seem to be very nice, hard-working girls!

From the overs we have: Jay James, Fleur East and Ben Haenow.
Jay's voice is just absolutely amazing. I want him to do so well!
Fleur is again not my type of artist but I really think she can go far in the competition!
Ben Haenow has got to be my favourite over! His rusky voice is killer, I absolutely love him! ♥

It is till very early in the competition for me to say who are my favourites to win - because I might grow some more love for the other contestans, which happens all the time. James Arthur is the perfect example! - but there's 1 person who I really want to see do well in the competition... my favourite italian, Andrea! He is my winner and has been since the beginning! I really hope he goes far and I can't wait to se what the future has for him! I love ya!! ♥♥

There's also a special someone who I hope is brought back in the competition and her name is Lola Saunders! I really hope she is one of the wild cards and I really really want her to stay! She is my other winner and has been since day 1! Fingers crossed and let's hope Cheryl and the public choose her! ♥♥

Comment down below who are your favourite contestans and we can all share some love for them!
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you have a fantastic week. Talk to you soon :)
Love,
Carolina Rosalie ♥
