2015 & 1/2

The month of June is about to end which means that half of the year has already gone by. I decided to look back on everything that has happened in these past 6 months to see how and how much I've changed. And to help me a little bit with that I have gone back to my first post of this year called Wishes for 2015 where I told the world my resolutions for this year.

My resolutions for the year of 2015 include things about health, my youtube channels and this blog, doing things that I enjoy, being aroung the right people, growing into the person I see myself being a few years from now and challenging myself to do more things.
So far I have not accomplished a lot but here's the bright side of things: I have 6 more months to try & my life won't be over if I get to the end of the year without executing all the things on my list.

I see New Year's Resolutions as a list of things I want to try and do ever single day of every single year till the year I can actually accomplish them. And I see things this way because it's not always possible to do certain things in the period of 12 months. I just gotta keep trying and trying and trying and remember that the one thing that I am truly trying to accomplish with all of these resolutions is to be a better person!

I thought I'd share this with the world because in general people set goals at the beginning of the year and they end that same year feeling guilty and upset that they didn't do what they had planned to. Resolutions are just goals that don't necessarily have to be set at the beginning of a new year. One can set them on a casual friday in April and it will still be a goal worth accomplishing.
So don't wait for the New Year to set yourself some goals and don't feel bad about yourself if you can't accomplish them in a certain period of time. The important thing is to set yourself some goals and to keep on trying to accomplishing them with no schedule.

Festival Season

Less than two weeks from now I am going to be attending a Summer Music Festival called NOS Alive. This festival takes place in Lisbon (Portugal) every year and it is a 3 day festival. This year it will present us - the audience - with a variety of artists. If you'd like to know who the artists are here's the link to where you can find that: NOS Alive Artists.

I am going to be attending the 3 days because there's an artist each day that I want to see. During the first day a lot of people will be performing but I am only interested in seeing the brilliant James Bay. Then on the second day I want to listen to the great music of the great Kodaline. And finally on the third and final day I want to sing along to the beautiful songs of Sam Smith.
Obviously I will be watching some of the other artists as well but I am going to see these 3 artists primarily.

I will be vlogging the 3 days and I will most likely combine the footage into one video which will be going up on my second channel - Carolina Rosa.
I am not sure when will the footage be up but I'll try to upload it on the 12th of July so keep your eyes peeled on that day.

Comment down below if you're excited for festival season - which I am aware has already started but for me it only starts in July.

Diogo Piçarra

In 2012 the 5th edition of "Ídolos" - which is the portuguese version of the british music contest "Idols" - aired here in Portugal. I actually didn't watch the show but I do know who own and that was a young gentleman named Diogo Piçarra.
In recent weeks I have fallen in love with a song of his - it's called "Tu E Eu" - and I can't get enough of it. Also recently I read a tweet which said something along the lines of "Diogo Piçarra is the proof that portuguese music is still good". When reading that I thought to myself that I couldn't agree more.

From my teen years till now I rejected pretty much any sort of portuguese music because I just didn't like it. I didn't reject it all but the people that made great music, the ones that to me had good and even great songs didn't have the type of music I enjoyed. So I never heard portuguese music! But now that I have found Diogo's music enjoyable and I might even dare to say that I'm a bit obsessed with one of his songs, I will definitely open myself to more portuguese music and hopefully I will be surprised.

For all of you non-portuguese people who most likely don't know who Diogo is - and also to the portuguese people who also don't know him -  I am gonna leave here his links so you guys can check him out if you'd like to!

That tweet that I mentioned was absolutely right. His music is great and the fact that he's portuguese makes me feel even prouder to be portuguese too!

Greece Colours

Summer officially starts tomorrow and to celebrate that I thought I'd do a little blogpost about one very special item that I've purchased just yesterday. It is this beautiful wallet from Parfois that just has this stunning pattern and some of the happiest colours of this season!
I had to buy this new wallet because my previous one is about 3 years old and although I took really good care of it, it had to break - the zipper - someday and that day was yesterday.

This new wallet of mine cost me 13€, which I think is a very nice price for a beautiful day to day item.
I bought it mainly because I love the colors and the pattern - and obviously I needed a new one. In terms of size it perfectly matches my expectations but in terms of the space inside I think it is between average and good. And I say this just because I am not the biggest fan of the card holding section... but apart from that I think it is really good!

The pattern and colors remind me a lot of Greece. Unfortunately I have never been to Greece but I have a great passion for it and when I was about 12/13 I decided that I'd spend my honeymoon in Greece. Funnily enough the movie "Mamma Mia" - which is one of my favourite movies of all time - had just premiered and the first time I watched it I felt the need to go to Greece. So I think my love for Greece came a little bit from that!

I am absolutely and madly in love with my new wallet and I love that I bought it just when Summer's about to start! It is in the most beautiful Summer colours and I feel a great deal of joy, happiness, passion and confidence whenever I look at it! I great purchase in my opinion!

It's Complicated

As I'm writting this I have one of my favourite movies playing. The movie's called "It's Complicated" and it's about a woman called Jane who starts having an affair with her ex-husband. She then meets a man, who happens to be her architect and the two of them start dating.

The first time I watched this movie I totally fell in love with it. It's this crazy story about love & family, with a lot of twists and turns and it totally represents my idea of a happy family life!
Plus Jane owns a café-bakery and for a few years I've had the dream of owning one myself, as I have been falling in love with baking and cooking! So I totally relate to her --- I'd love to grow into a woman like Jane when I am her age.

The cast of this movie is incredible. Meryl Streep is one of my favourite actresses of all time and she plays the role perfectly. Alec Baldwin is an incredible Jake and although I tend not to like people who cheat with other people when they're married, I absolutely adore his character. Steve Martin plays a great Adam and he's really sweet so I like him a lot.

I also really love the soundtrack of the movie and the fact that it was written and directed by Nancy Meyers, who has also written. produced and directed "The Holiday", another of my favourite movies.

I am a sucker for romantic comedies and this one is at the top of my favourites!

2 Years Old

Today is a very special day! On this very day, two years ago I started this blog. My first post was nothing more than a simple introduction and from that moment on I have been running my blog always with the love I have for writting in my mind!

When I first started blogging, I was so excited I posted 3 blogposts on the same day! And because I realised I'd run out of ideas if I kept on posting like a maniac, I decided to set myself the goal of posting once a week - in the weeks I did decide to blog. It worked out pretty well and so I decided to do more posts a week and with all the breaks I did, lack of posts and abundance of them, two years have gone by!
Where do I see my blog going? I see it going to more interesting places!
I definitely want to keep on writting loads about all the things I love, whilst giving the blog a more professional look but still keeping the personal side of it.

Sooner or later this blog will suffer some changes, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Thank you everyone who ever read any of my posts, to everyone who follows this blog on Google+ or Bloglovin'. I hope you all stay to see what is coming and I hope you're all as excited as I am!
I'll talk to you soon :)
