A trip to Porto - No picture and going home (final day)

On the 14th of July I woke up at 8.20am. Grabbed my stuff and went to the bathroom to do the usual: pee and take a shower. The cleaning lady was there and so I waited for her to leave so I could do my peeing and some other stuff alone. She left just after I'd done my peeing and so I felt comfortable to fart! Yes, I do fart!
Right when i was letting the gas out she came right back in. Embarrassing!!
After that "oh, so delightful!" experience - I'm not kidding, it was delightful... the farting part, haha! - I took a shower, went back to the room to get dressed and, when everyone was ready, we went downstairs to have breakfast.

I was hoping the guy from the reception, the one I fancied, was going to be there because we all wanted to take a picture with him to save as a memory. Unfortunately he had left at 8am... So I did not get to take the precious picture :(
We grabbed some food and had the final breakfast of our trip. I ate chocolate cereal! Yummy!!!
After having breakfast we went upstairs to grab our things and then came down to check-out. We asked if we could leave our bags there as our train to Lisbon was only going to leave at 10 to 5pm. The guy at the reception said "Sure!"

We left to explore a bit more of the city and it was probably the best day of exploring.

We went to the riverside, took a lot of photos and even crossed the bridge to Gaia. We stayed there for about 10 to 15 minutes and then came back to Porto because we were starving.
There we had one of Porto's typical snacks, the "Francesinha". It was not the best but that restaurant did not seem to be very good either, although it was pretty funny to see the competition between the waiters.
That being said I have to say the service was cool!

After lunch we went back to the hostel nearbys so that we were closer to "home". We walked for a while and then, when it was all too much for our feet, we sat in a park, under the shadow, for about an hour. At around 3.30pm we went back to the hostel, grabbed our bags, made some sandwiches for later and said our goodbyes.
After the receptionist had wished us a good and safe trip my sister said "We'll be back next year!" He laughed. We all laughed.
Just around the corner there was a Costa Coffee which I really wanted to go to as there's only a few of those in Portugal - which is pretty weird as Costa Coffee is, like Nando's, portuguese. We went inside, ordered our drinks and sat there for a while, - we had plenty of time - had a little photoshoot! (it's all very new to us). We stayed there for a good 20 minutes and once we had finished our drinks we went to the train station.
There I had a bit of a pre-panic attack. I was extremely nervous as we did not bought a train ticket because the website of our hostel said that we could use our big-train tickets. It's complicated to explain but the fact is I was very nervous and anxious about that... But in the end it was all okay. We arrived at our station and had to wait 20-25 minutes for our big boy train to arrive.
There was a cute boy there so as pretty classy and usual of me, i started getting nervous and when I'm nervous I tend to sweat... How feminine and flattering of me!!!
The train arrived, we entered it and the 3 hours went by so much faster than I was expecting. I was not a peaceful trip but there were a few good moments. We arrived and our fathers were there waiting for us.
This was the end of our fantastic 3 days and we were all very sad that it ended but also very happy about all of the amazing things we had the privilege to experience.

The End!!

Thanks for reading!
If you want me to do more post like this just let me know :)

(There will be bonus posts just with pictures of the trip because I have a lot I want to show. Those posts will be up soon, keep checking.)

A trip to Porto - One Direction's concert and seeing my friends (day 2)

We woke up at 7am so that we could visit some other parts of Porto. Getting ready, eating breakfast and preparing some snacks for the day took us around 45min and we left the hostel at almost 9am. We walked for maybe an hour, maybe more and after being dissapointed by the fact that the stores and other things we wanted to visit were closed, as it was a sunday, we decided to go to the train station. We took the 10h45am train to the Dragão Stadium.

Once we got there we went inside the mall next door, went to a few stores, bought a few things and met up with friends. We all had lunch at different times but we were together, most of the time. After that we went to Zara and me and my sister bought clothes, which we changed in to, as they were more comfortable and more concert appropriate.

At around 2pm we went outside because the heat inside the mall was too "heated", was making some of us feel sick and others sweat like it was the end of the world (such a beautiful image...). Outside had been hot but it was a lot fresher and under the shadow it was bearable. We stayed there, went to the mall again after a while to buy some drinks and went back outside.
At around 4.15pm we decided to go to the gates, to enter. There was a lot of people still and the sun was burning my back as the shirt I was wearing that day (the one I'm wearing as I'm writing this blog post) is backless.

(the gates before 3.30pm)

When we got inside the first thing I thought was "bathrooms, i have to pee"! In the bathroom I did pee and also filled up my water bottle. Once we actually entered the stadium
we searched for a good place and we ended up staying with two friends of mine. We had to wait 1hour and 20min before the show actually started and in the mean time we chatted, made jokes, danced, sang, listened and watched the people inside the stadium go mad and do "the wave" several times. At 6pm they started playing songs and the highlights for me were when the played 5SOS, favourite australian boys, Olly Murs, always good for a boogie and Little Mix. I jumped off the floor right when the songs started, screamed like a little girl and sang my heart out, dancing and shaking because of the adrenalin (the actual concert hadn't even started, it was far from that and I was already in "Crazy Carolina Mode").
At 7pm the opening band D.A.M.A. started their show. I sat down for the whole thing. I am not a fan of the band, I was pretty tired and I'd rather be jumping and singing (more like screaming, once again "Crazy Carolina Mode") whilst One Direction were playing...
When that was over we listened to another hour of songs and this time the highlights were Little Mix's 'Wings' and 'Salute'. I was literally shaking and singing as loud as I could and dancing and everything. I absolutely adore them! And the funniest thing happened... I had gone to the bathroom and right when I was finished and went to wash my hands 'Salute' started playing. I ran outside, looked for my sister, who had gone with me, and as I didn't see her and absolutely didn't care about her at that precious moment of my life, I went to the field of the stadium... literally dancing whilst walking down the stairs and doing all sorts of movements that showed how into the song I was. When i arrived to our little spot on the field I danced and sang and didn't care about anything else. I was going for it and it was probably one of the most embarassing things I had ever done because by the time the song ended, and also whilst it was still playing, there was a mum of someone looking at me, judging me hard time. She did it when I was dancing and she kept doing it when I sat down after the song had finished. I didn't see this happening because I was really commited to the song and to my dance moves... I ended up knowing about this afterwards and I thought it was pretty funny. Definitely a moment to remember!

Then it was time! One Direction were finally going to start their show and it was incredible. They were so fun, jumping, running and doing all sorts of weird stuff, pulling funny faces... typical 1D boys!

  • Liam hurt his foot so he was sat down for the whole show, apart from one song. It was really cute, the fact that he made that effort for his fans! CUTE!!!
  • Niall was his usual silly self, pulling lots of faces, telling us the news about the World Cup Final, playing the guitar whist looking damn sexy!
  • Harry was looking dashingly gorgeous and so sexy with that bandana of his, talking loads and sending loads of kisses to the fans nearest the stage!
  • Louis was also his usual self, very chatty, very funny, very dummy! (in a good way!)
  • And Zayn was hot, as he normally is, every day, every hour, every minute... and you could tell he was loving it!

I absolutely love them all and loved the show!
But I have to be honest, I liked the concert of the previous tour better but this one was still very good. I wanted them to sing a few songs from the previous albums and more songs of the current album but still I had a great time and I didn't want it to end!

(If you want to see pictures of the show there's gonna be a blog post just with pictures in a few days. Keep an eye for that.)

When the show was finished it was really hard to leave the stadium but when we finally managed to do that we went to the train station and took a train from Estádio do Dragão to Trindade. Then we had to take another train to São Bento so we looked for the ticket machine to obviously buy a ticket. We couldn't find the machine so we went to São Bento with no ticket. Shame on us...
The hostel was about 10min away from the train station but it felt like a long walk as we were all very tired and dead. Once we arrived there all we wanted to do was have a shower and get into bed. But something had to happen... at about 1am two of the receptionists, the one that I fancied and the one we all like to call alcohol because we didn't know his name, were outside having a cigarette and then they saw us arriving, all looking miserable and tired and dead. All they could do was ask how had the concert been. We said it had been good and then climbed the stairs up. Once again I started sweating, classy me!... So embarassing! I hope they don't remember me if I ever go there again...
They went into the reception and we went to our room, two floors above. And that was the last time I saw the good looking receptionist!...
All we did when we arrived to our room was eat something because we didn't have dinner, take a quick shower and go to bed. It had been a fantastic day!

A trip to Porto - Meeting Vânia Fernandes (stellabeauty08) and giving money to prisoners and pedophiles (day 1)

One Direction's last concert of the european tour was gonna be in Porto, Portugal so me and a lot of friends planned our separate little trips not only to visit Porto but also to attend the concert.
My group was me and 3 other girls, one being my sister. My other friends planned their own trips with each other. This goes back to when 1D first announced they were coming back to Portugal, this time on their "Where We Are Tour". We all bought our tickets and started planning the trips. One of the girls in my group offered to search for hotels or hostels and she ended up planning the whole trip.
I was not too sure about that because I'm very picky with things and I like to be the one planning them. But I was very wrong! The hostel the 4 of us ended up going to was and is absolutely incredible. The Yes! Porto Hostel (http://www.yeshostels.com/pt) has great rooms, very clean bathrooms, a ton of services and, in general, a great environment.

One the 12th of July we traveled, by train, from Lisbon to Porto. We were all very nervous as it was our first no parents or adults travelling experience.
In the train I was on Twitter and I found out that Vânia Fernandes (https://www.youtube.com/user/Stellabeauty08) was in the same train as me. I tweeted her and when the train arrived to the station we met. She is the nicest person, so lovely and so cute. I just wanna be friends with her!!! We said our goodbyes and I got a hug from her, so cute!!

Then we, me and my friends and sister, had to catch another train to go to the hostel. When we arrived something great happened to me: I almost fell!! But it was all good as I think no one saw it.
We searched for the hostel and when we finally found it we were sweating like pigs because it was very sunny and very hot. We entered the hostel, climbed up a few stairs to go to the reception. We were welcomed by a very nice boy, in his 20s, who happened to be very cute and good looking. He asked us if we were tired, I'm guessing because he could tell that by looking at us. We all looked miserable!! Just a little bit...
We were about to paid our stay in the hostel and when we were grabbing the money off our wallets I suddenly was very nervous and started sweating even more. I grabbed my money, a pack of notes, 250€, and started couting to take off 70€ to pay, 35€ for me, 35€ for my sister. He said the price like twice and I still couldn't understand it. But it wasn't as bad as I'm describing it. After sorting out the payments he gave us our room keys, which were in fact bracelets, explained us the rules and gave us informations about the hostel. He was very very nice!

We went upstairs and chose our beds, locked up our things and got ready to leave to explore the city.
At first it was all very confusing but after walking through a few streets and eating some ice cream we decided to go back to Torre dos Clérigos and from there, following our map, we tried to visit as many places as we could and along the way a lot of things happened...

My sister and one of the girls got a hand kiss and flowers from a good looking boy; I almost fell... again; We took pictures; We tried to find the supermarket, which took ages...

But the most interesting things that happened were when we were walking and man came up to 2 of us and started telling us his life story. He was asking for money and said that he'd rather ask people than do crazy shit to people because he didn't want to go back to prison, as he had been there for 4 years. We gave him a few coins, he thanked us and left. Then when we were trying to find a place to have dinner at a man came up to us and said he knew a good and cheap place to eat at, which was very famous around there. He led the way and at first it didn't seem suspicious. But then we started walking too much and went into kind of a dead end road, very dark and dirty. My sister was walking next to him, because she didn't knew that he was the one who had came up to us and that he said the restaurant was just down that street, and the rest of us were walking in the back planning a strategy to get rid of the man. It was all very strange and suspicious. I pretended someone was calling me right when we arrived at the dead end street. The man said to us: "C'mon, the restaurant is just up there. C'mon, don't be afraid, I won't hurt you." What a pedophile, we thought. We got rid of him by saying that a friend of ours was calling us and we needed to meet up with her. The man said okay and asked for a few coins to pay for the bus. At first he asked for 50cents, then 1€ and after giving him that he asked for more 50cents. He left with just 1€ and went up to other people to ask for more money. Bloody fucker!!

We arrived at the hostel, which was just around the corner, got ready to leave once again and found a nice, near by, chep place where we ate beautifully!!

It was dark by the time we left the restaurant but we didn't want to go to the hostel, except for my sister who wanted to go see the rest of the football match, so we walked for a little bit and then came back.

The rest of the night was peaceful. We were at the common room for a while, read a magazine in german, took pictures and chatted.
If the first day of this trip had been like this I couldn't imagine what the other two would be like!

Where have I been? What is new?

(This is something I wrote days ago but I still wanna post it! Enjoy!)

First of all I would like to apologise for not posting or uploading in a long time, mainly posting because writting is something that truly helps me feel better about myself, whether I've been having a good or a bad day... What I'm trying to say is I'm sorry for not putting up content for you guys and I'm sorry, I apologise to myself for being so tired, stressed and busy doing nothing truly important. I've not been doing what really matters to me nowadays and it's sad... but enough with the sad apologises!

To anyone that cares to know what's been going on lately in my life here's a brief explanation: the last days of school and the exams have been killing me!
I don't have school anymore but I still have 2 exams to take, one on the 18th and the other on the 23rd of this month. After that I'm gonna be all relaxed and less tired, which means my brain is gonna work 10 times better, which means there's gonna be content to put up! Yay!!
But... that content is only scheduled to be posted/uploaded in mid-July because I'm going away on holiday for 10 days, come back for one day and then go away for 3 more days. I do have a week in between the last exam and my holiday but I'm gonna take those days to hang out with my friends before we stay apart until like August...

Also there's a few things that are gonna change:
-I decided to make a vlog channel, so now I have two channels
( Main channel & Vlog channel )
-I'm gonna be posting twice a week on my blog
-my content is still gonna be the same but there's a lot more coming

Be ready!!!
Love,
Carolina Rosalie

Hello?!

Hello! I'm not really sure what to write in this post but as my last one was over a month ago I felt like I couldn't not write, even if just to say hello.
And why have I not been writing? Well, I've been quite busy with the last weeks of school and exams and things that were very overwhelming, in a bad way as I wasn't enjoying them.
I'd like to say that's all gonna change now but it's not the truth...
For this "thing" that I feel like I'm trapped in to change I must change myself.
And if you are wondering what the "thing" is, well it is my life! A sad, boring and stressful life that has a tiny amount of happiness in it once in a while.
Can I change that? Yes, yes I can!
What do I have to do to change that? I have to go out of my comfort zones, believe more in myself, don't feel sick or stressed about simple life things that make me, most of the times, feel anxious.
So what am I gonna do first? First of all I'm gonna take a couple of weeks to just relax and not to worry about anything but myself, just have fun and leave my problems and anxiety back home. That's the main thing on my mind now! I'm gonna go away next monday, the 30th of June, and I'm gonna come back on the 10th of July. I'm only gonna be here for a day, as I will go on a 3-day holiday, from the 12th to the 14th of July. After that I hope to be relaxed, with a fresh mindset and ready to change my life for the better and do what I enjoy!

The next 10 steps I'd like to take...
I want to: keep doing Youtube and blogging
enjoy the rest of my Summer like I never enjoyed one
look for jobs and courses that interest me
               learn how to cook
explore the city I live in
hang out with my best friends often
go out everyday, even if just for a walk to get some fresh air
take lots of pictures and record videos (because memories are important)
keep writing my novel (I started writing a novel, how cool is that![it's nothing serious, I'm writing it for myself])
be healthy (food, exercise, sleeping, people, activities, etc.)

These are the first 10 things I want to start after I come back. I want to keep doing them for a long time, some of them for the rest of my life. I will find more things to had to this list, eventually, but for now 10 it's more than good.

Feel free to comment down below some of the things you'd like to do to make your life better and happier! Or comment anything else, something you'd like to say.
Thanks for reading! Have a lovely day!

Frustrated??

Well dear beloved friends, today I thought I'd share with you something I've learnt through the most recent years of my life. It's a mix of things because my head is a complete mess with a lot of topics that I like to write and talk about and so I can't just talk about one thing at time, as it's all related and I am not very good at separating things and at expressing my thoughts in a direct and clear way, it all gets a bit messy everytime I try to...
So these past 2 years I've been under a lot of changes, pressure, tension, stress, basically everything you could imagine being bad to you. That happened because obviously I started High School and my life got a little bit harder on me... to say the least...
And when I experience things that make me feel rubbish and just turn into an emotional mess I tend to get frustrated. To calm myself down I either eat to over-compensate my sadness and frustration or I get very angry, moody and bossy... when this last case takes place you shouldn't talk to me, you'll regret it! To basically sum it up that is what I do, I let my frustrations out on others. I'm not proud of it and I honestly feel bad after I've calmed down but is something that I do... something I've been trying to stop and my effort has paid off.
I don't know how I managed to control myself, my emotions... If you've come here for help or some tips on how to get better at this particular subject I am very sorry, I can't help with that. One thing I can say to you is that it is possible to change this situation. I think if you try to think positive thoughts you're one step closer to reaching your goal. That will help you control your frustrations and it will make you see things in another perspective... I guess.

That's basically it, I guess I just wanted to share my thoughts on this and my experience. If I'm being honest I just started writting about this because I was frustrated and angry at a situation that happened a few minutes ago. I could've easily let my frustrations out on my mother (because she's the only person that it's home) or I could've gone to the kitchen... but I didn't... I guess this is my way of letting my frustrations out. Creating something, even if it turns out to be nothing special. Taking a negative thing and turning it into something positive! I guess after all I ended up having a piece of advice for you!

So that's it guys! I hope this was somehow helpful or enjoyable. Don't forget to comment and share this post. Also check all my links to find out more about me!

It was great talking to you!
Love,
Carolina Rosalie :)

April Favourites

April was a great month for me, I was on Spring/Easter break so I really got to relax and forget all the things that cause me stress or anxiety. It was a really good month and I really enjoyed it! My break started on the 5th of April and that day I pretty much did nothing, I slept till late and it was very relaxing! My break lasted till the 21st, which was a bit short in my opinion but better to have some days off than nothing... In those 2 weeks I did a few things that put a smile on my face and made me feel really truly happy and blessed about my life... these simple things definitely are a gift and not everyone gets to experience that and I'm very fortunate to be able to do that!

This past month on the 6th I got to go to an incredible concert that I will never forget: the OMG Spring Break Portugal festival. I did a video and wrote a blog post on that so if you've not seen them click here for the video and here for the blog post.
A couple of day earlier I was at the movies and I saw Divergent with a few friends and I must say it was amazing... I can't wait for the 2nd movie!!
Also Coachella happened this month and even though I wasn't there I saw the amazing fashion and it made me feel really happy. I have no idea why, I guess I just really like to see pictures of people wearing amazing clothes!!
On the 25th I had a day off of school because it's a special holiday here in Portugal and myself, my mother and my sister went to see Noah at the movies. It was a great movie and I really enjoyed it all, appart from these annoying kids who were talking and laughing troughout the movie which I don't think is supposed to be funny... oh well!
Other movies that I watched were Disney movies, the child inside of me likes them very much... and no, I'm not pregnant!
I had fun making my own videos for my Youtube channel, it's really fun! Here's a link to my channel in case you wanna check ot out: Carolina Rosalie channel. And as pretty usual I watched a whole lot of Youtube videos and these past month my favourite videos to watch were from these Youtube channels: Zoella, FunForLouis, PointlessBlog, beautycrush, essiebuttonvlogs, BeyondBeautyStar and Meghan Rienks. I think if you watch youtube videos as much as me you already know who all these people are but in case you don't know here are the links to their channels:

In terms of music and websites: I really used Spotify a lot to listen to a large amount of albums but the one I was really addicted to was and still am is Emblem 3's Album "Nothing to Lose". That as to due to the fact that they were at that festival I went to at the beginning of the month. I liked them before the concert but after that I became obsessed... not crazy obsessed like I'm gonna stalk and chase them if I see them, a good and healthy amount of obsession!!! The websites I used pretty much everyday were Tumblr and Pinterest, you gotta love them two sites! If you wanna follow me on either one of them here are the links: Tumblr and Pinterest.
Last but not least are the food favourites. My new favourite thing to eat is jelly! My favourite flavours are peach and strawberrie!! :)
On Easter day I ate a whole lot of brownies with strawberries and ice cream!

Delicious!! :)

And that's it! These were my favourites throughout the month of April! I hope you've enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writting it! Comment down below some of your favourites of the month of April or anything you want to say.
I'll talk to you soon!

Concerts in 2014

Hey everyone! So I must say that 2014 has been quite the journey so far. There's been some downs but also ups to balance my life! One of the "ups" has been the amazing oportunity to go to a few concerts this year. Music is a big part of my life and the fact that I am able to go and see the artists that I like and that inspire me to pursue my dreams is such a great honor and it makes me feel very happy and blessed! It's situations like this that make me see how blessed and lucky I am!!!
Keep in mind that all the tickets for the concerts were either a present (as I turned 18 last month) or I paid for them myself.

I've already gone to the OMG Spring Break Portugal concert (and I wrote a blog post and made a video on that so be sure to check them out!) but I still have a few concerts I'm going to go to! :)

-Rock in Rio Lisboa on the 1st of June. I'm gonna go see Justin Timberlake, Jessie J and a few more artists;
-on the 15th of June I'm going to see Miley Cyrus on her #BangerzTour;
-on the 13th of July I'm going to travel to Porto, spend there a couple of days and in one of them I'm going to see One Direction on their #WWATour;
-on the 19th of July I'm gonna have the pleasure to see James Arthur in concert.

I also did a video talking about what all of this means to me. Be sure to check it out and feel free to subscribe as it's free!

I am very happy and excited to go to all of these concerts and its times like this that make me realise how lucky, blessed and happy I should feel! Thank you God!

Thanks for reading! Be sure to check all my social media sites, all linked on the side bar. I'll talk to you soon!! :)

Spring Break Festival

Hi guys! Long time no chatting. I'm sorry for that but the past 2 weeks were a bit rough for me but I'm back on track!! Today I want to share with you my experience on one of the most memorable and happy days of my life. On the 6th of April I went to a concert here in Portugal where several artists performed.
The concert was kind of a festival of one day called OMG Spring Break Portugal. It was the first time happening in Portugal and the management of the festival brought 5 artists: D8, No Stress, Emblem 3, Union J and Nelson Freitas. The only ones I wanted to see were E3 and UJ but the other artists were cool too!
As I'm crazy about The X Factor, both UK and USA, I have been following both E3 and Union J since they first started their careers so I was very excited to go and see them live. It was an amazing experience that I am always going to remember!

Emblem 3 performed first and their concert, which was about 1h30min, was crazy amazing! They said themselves it was so cool and awesome and I'm pretty sure they're going to come back to Portugal soon as they liked it so much! Can't wait for that...

Here's a couple of videos...

Emblem 3 performing:

Union J followed E3 and their concert was even crazier! Me and my friends thought that after E3 there was no chance Union J would be better... but they were! The boys were so sweet and caring, they really connected with the audience... there were tons of people crying, including me. I don't think I've ever cried so much in my life... all tears of joy of course!

Here's Union J performing the song "Amaze Me":

What's the news?

Hi everyone! Today I am gonna share with you guys what I've been doing recently because I feel like it... so let's start!

A few days ago I started my own Youtube channel which I've been meaning to do for the past year... so I finally did it! The link is https://www.youtube.com/carolinarosalie3 in case you wanna go there and watch my videos. I upload videos every thursday and in case you wanna know what type of videos I plan to do here's the link of my most recent video where I explain all of that to you guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iuIAn6Bzfw&list=UUAZls6IjGMrNiv6RISGae8w

Next thing I want to talk about is a list of things I want to have accomplished by the time I turn 20 (I'm 18 now in case you didn't know).
1. I want to live in England, either by myself or sharing a house witth friends
2. I want to have long hair. My hair is medium size now and I'm letting it grow
3. I want to lose all the weight I need to lose in order to be healthy
4. I want to work in something that I like (job)
5. I want to do Youtube and Blogging (and be successful at it)
6. I want to live a healthy lifestyle (working out, eating, have the right people in my life, etc.)
7. I want to wear contact lenses because I'm sick of wearing glasses all the time (specially when I'm watching a really sad movie and I cry and then I have to take of my glasses and clean them...)
8. I want to drink at least 1.5L of water everyday
9. I want to do laser hair removal
10. I want to do the stretch marks treatment that makes them smaller and less noticible
11. I want to sort out my friendships and figure out who I still want in my life and who I don't want
12. I want read loads of books
13. I want to get rid of all the negative things and memories in my life

So that's pretty much it for today. Make sure you check my Youtube channel as well as my other links, all linked in the sidebar.
Follow me on Bloglovin' to keep up with my posts. I'll talk to you next week!

Transition

There comes a time in your life when you'll feel very different from the people surronding you, when you won't understand some of their decisions or attitudes, when you'll feel like you are an outsider, not because they make you feel like that, but because you no longer have things in common and you think they're immature. This might be a hard phase, specially if your group of friends is substantially of people around your age or younger than you. You'll find yourself wondering "what the hell" did you see in them, why do they act so childish... You won't spend as much time with them as before and you might try to make an excuse everytime they invite to do something.

This, my friends, is currently happening to me. I'm not the most sociable bird so my group of friends is quite small and recently I've been noticing that I don't wanna hang out with them as much as I did before.
It started last Summer and this somehow claustrophobic feeling (I wanna "get out of the group", but I can't because I don't have other friends to turn to) is getting bigger by the day.
So I talked several times to my mom, a person who does understand what is happening to me. From that I tried to understand what all of this is and it's very simple... I am growing up.
When analysed it doesn't appear so strange anymore. I have noticed that also my taste in music, clothes, food, books, makeup and other things is changing. I want more classic things, sophisticated, deeper, enjoyable... things that a couple of years ago I thought were horrible and very different from what I liked.
Of course I still have an immature side to my personality and I'm goofy all the time. Of course there are still things I enjoy, just like before. Of course I'm not a grow woman yet, in a lot of aspects... there's time for that. I just wanted to say that all of this is an important part of your transition into "adulthood". It doesn't happen to everyone at the same time, some may find themselves experiencing this at my age (18 years old), some before, some after but the fact is: all of us do!
So don't feel scared or lonely when this changes involve other people. They will understand if you need to spend more time alone or the fact that you don't find a certain joke funny anymore... they'll understand that in their own time.

Thanks for reading everyone! Take care!
Love,
Carolina Rosalie :)

Favorite Youtubers - The Brits

Hey you! Today I want to share my favorite youtubers with you guys. You might know them all already or might just know a few of them, but either way I wanna tell you who they are and what I like about them and their videos.
Before I start I just want to tell you that my favorites changed quite often, meaning that the list of people that I like to watch usually grows every month.
So without further to do let's name all these lovely people!

Marcus Butler (http://www.youtube.com/user/MarcusButlerTV)
I like Marcus cuz he is funny and very direct, he says what he has to say and doesn't sugar-code it.

Alfie Deyes (http://www.youtube.com/user/PointlessBlog)
This one is also a funny guy and he plays the weirdest games I've ever seen in my life, but it's seriously so fun to watch... He's pretty cool!

Jim Chapman (http://www.youtube.com/user/j1mmyb0bba)
Jim is, for me, like a dad or a big brother. He gives great advice and is serious when the moment requires it but on the other hand he is silly and makes you laugh.

Joe Sugg (http://www.youtube.com/user/ThatcherJoe)
Joe's the silly guy who makes you laugh about everything. And I gotta talk about his impressions, they're so funny!!

Zoe Sugg (http://www.youtube.com/user/zoella280390)
Zoe is my big sister. She is beautiful, funny, makes great videos and in general is just an amazing person. She inspires me a lot!

Tanya Burr (http://www.youtube.com/user/pixi2woo)
Tanya is this cute little human being who I just adore and love! She is so honest and caring, I just wanna hug her and never stop!

Louise Pentland (https://www.youtube.com/user/Sprinkleofglitter)
Louise is my mummy and I just love her to death! She's gorgeous, makes me laugh and I love her maternal side... and Darcy is just so cute!

February

So this month was really nothing special and to be honest I can't remember most of the days. But there were still simple little things that happen and I wanna share it with you guys!

So this month I bought my first ever two Baby Lips chapsticks and I have to say I'm impressed, they're extremely soft and gentle on the lips compared to a Nivea chapstick that I own, which is also good but not as good as the Baby Lips ones... in my opinion, of course.

I also listened to a lot of music, old and new. I fell in love all over again with Little Mix, Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony, Taylor Swift and The Dolly Rockers. I loved them all, loads, before but I wasn't listening to their songs as much and so when I did have a cheeky listen (it was not a "cheeky" listen, I just really like that word, haha) I was smitten with them all, once again.
And in terms of new music I really like Nina Nesbitt's album, it's very cool and I really love the songs.
And also some of you might be mad at me or say I've been living under a rock but I haven't; after all this time I decided to give it a go and I listened to Lorde and Lana del Rey's albums... and I love them.

I'm very obsessed with the Kardashian family and I just wanna be in it. I love them all and throughout this month I've watch KUWTK a lot of times. Also I'm so extremely excited for season 9, I've been waiting since January and it's finally gonna premiere this sunday here in Portugal.

I ate brownies and ice cream which is good because I love food! I drank loads of tea, as pretty usual...

I guess these are the most relevant things that happened to me this February. I hope you liked my usual ramble and random stuff. Feel free to comment anything you fancy saying and be sure to follow me on Bloglovin' or any other social media site, all linked on the sidebar.

Keep smiling and being a beautiful person! I'll talk to you next week!

Things I like to do when I'm feeling down

Hello my lovelies!
Today I thought I should give some advice that really does work for me when I'm basically feeling like shit.
If I'm having one of those days when I hate the world and I just want to sleep and not talk to a single human being, I find the following things calm me down and put me in a much better mood. That way I won't feel as bad and I won't take the risk of pissing my mum off (she or anyoned else do get angry when I'm angry because I tend to turn into a very rude person when I'm in a very bad mood; gladly that doesn't happen quite often).

if you want to relax immediately this website has really good meditation/relaxation music: http://www.calm.com/

you should clear your mind and try to forget all of the things you're going through

also disconnect from the world by turning your phone off
one thing that I also like to do is let go of the bad thoughts, whether it's through writting, talking to someone or talking to myself (in this last case I record myself talking because I feel like I'm really letting go and all the bad thoughts are stuck in the video I recorded)
try to think positive and about happy things

reading a book, listening to music, watching a movie or several movies are all things I like to do to clear my mind
talking to friends or family is one way to distract you and you won't think about the things that are upsetting you
sleeping is also good
do something creative, even if you're not the most creative person
go on tumblr
go out with friends if you feel like doing it is gonna help
have a cuppa tea to relax
have some "you" time and take care of yourself

remember that crying is okay and is good

That is basically it for this post.
I hope it was helpful and if so please comment down below telling me what was the most helpful thing out of all the suggestions or write some of the things that you like to do when you're feeling down.
Follow me on Bloglovin' if you'd like to keep up with my posts and don't forget to check out all of my other social media sites linked on the sidebar.

Thanks for reading!

Letting Go

Hello everyone! Today I thought I'd share my thoughts on this phrase "One of the happiest moments in  life is when you find the courage to let go of what you can't change".

Letting go of what you like/love is never easy and most of the times you regret doing it. But there is always a bright side, a positive thing that comes into your life when you let go of something that doesn't need to be a part of your life anymore.

For example, one of the most common things people want to let go of is a sad or bad past. Most people don't have enough strength to do that whenever they want but eventually they'll have to do it if they want to start having a better and brighter life.
And for me (and the entire human species and animals and rocks...) one of the things you can't change is the past. You might as well let go of it and start living the life you've imagined.

My case is actually very similar to the example I just gave. For years and years I said to myself "You need to change Carolina, you need to let go of the past and start living the way you want to..." but as I was just a kid, still am, I couldn't do much about it. I needed help to change several things I was doing wrong, bad habits.
But as the years went by I started to see that I don't have to change everything at once. I'll eventually get to where I want if I take little steps towards that way.

So here I am... still a kid... changing my habits, the way I see life and I'm becoming a better, happier and healthier person.
So the main thing I'm trying to say here is: it does take a lot of courage to let go of things but if you do it better things might come your way.

I hope you enjoyed this very random blog post. Feel free to follow me on Bloglovin' or any other social media sites, all linked on the side bar. I'll talk to you next week :)

Take a look inside my mind

(I wrote this on sunday, the 19th of January)

Today is the first bad day I've had this year, it's the first day that I sat down to think about what is currently happening to me and to others out there. I always say to myself "Don't think too much about your problems, it's only gonna stress you out and you're not gonna feel okay." But I end up thinking about the problems anyway because it's seems to me that when I do that, after feeling sad, anxious, angry and so on, I get into a calm and relaxed state of mind because I find my inner peace and I know everything is gonna be alright. I have been through so many things in my short period of life (true fact)... one more is not gonna make me fall or break down. I've realised they only make stronger!

[I believe the "so many things" I've experienced were meant to be, were meant to happen to me because it was God's way (btw I'm not religious but I do believe there is something above us that controls all lifes and does everything with a purpose... I don't have any other name for this "force" so I call it God) to "create" the person I am supposed to be, with a strong personality and my own believes, a voice to others, an inspiration... I believe I'm going to be that person some day because that is what I see myself doing with my life. I want to have a voice and inspire others, give advice and be a role model to younger and older people. I want to be able to save lifes, I want to help.]

So I'm writting what I'm feeling because it's my way of letting the bad thoughts go. I like to think that if I turn something negative into a positive thing, that is going to bring positive things to my life. I'm not only creating a good thing but also making myself feel better about it. And I think that is one of the purposes of life: finding a way to let go of the bad whilst creating the good, whether it's for yourself or for others.

This is all I have for you today. Thanks for following and reading, Don't forget to check out my other social media sites. Share this post if it did you any good.
I'll talk to you next week.
Lots of love.
Bye! ;)

January

Well this a blog series kinda like the Youtube Favorites Monthly Videos. I wanted to share this with anyone that reads my blog (and if you're new, Hi, welcome to the Rosalie family!!) because I've come to realise that you really need to choose happiness and not wait for it to just happen, and for me that starts with the way you think about life and everything that comes with it. I try to look at the bright side of things and it really works, I'm much happier now that I do that.
And with the thoughts comes the "events", the things that will allow you to have fun and be happy, like the opportunity to go to the cinema with your friends or have a really nice day with your family. It's the little things that count and we don't always see that...

This month has been eventful for me and it's probably the first time I've been proper happy in years. I had good days and bad days, obviously but that didn't stop me from choosing happiness... if that makes any sense.

This month started quite good actually, me and my sister had an all nighter and watched a movie on the 1st of January. That may seem really normal and simple but it was a really good night/morning.
And like this other little things happened to me this month:
-I got sick and because of it I was able to stay home for 3 days and on one of those I watched 6 movies
-I went to see 'The Wolf of Wall Street' for my sister's 16th bday
-I ate chinese food, one of my faves
-I watched vlogs and read blogs
-I bought a ticket for a concert happening in April
-I found that Michael Bublé is coming here in February (this one is not as happy because I'm not going but it's great that he's coming)
-I am much closer to my best friends
-I'm getting closer to an old friend of mine
-I spent a whole evening talking to my mom (it was a really great conversation)
-I laughed when everyone in my class was upset because of the slow internet connection my school has
-I cried two times in one day because of the most amazing news
-I decided to change my twitter name and instagram name (btw if you wanna follow me on both searched for carolinarosalie)
-I know what I want to do with my life and I'm not as lost as I was before
-I have lots of ideas for this blog and for other things

These were the highlights of this month and I'm sure the following months are going to be as good if not better.

Thanks for reading, don't forget to check my social media sites linked on the side bar. Follow me on Bloglovin' if you wanna keep up with my posts.
I'll talk to you soon!!

I want...

It just hit me, this very second, that I'm almost 18 and I'm not a happy person... blessed, grateful, lucky and probably loved by a small group... yes, but not happy!

And I want to change that, I don't want to feel like this anymore because I know that life has so much to give me and that's only gonna happen if I'm happy... not 100% prepared or sure of what will happen, I just need to be happy with me and my life, because that's the key to having a great life and success in what you do!!

There are things that are up to me to change (and that is a whole different post) but there are also things that I can't do by myself... like making new friends or making current friendships better, taking them to a level where you know they're probably gonna last forever. For now that is what I want in life, FRIENDS

Friends are the people that you go to when you need to talk, you share experiences, make decisions with, give and take advice from, travel with, go to concerts with, spend the most amazing years of your life with... I see people that I know, people I don't know, people in movies, people in real life... they all have real friends, whether it's a small close group or a larger group with different types of people, they all seem to get along and have a lot of fun together. Probably not all of them are close or intimate with each other but when they are together they have the best time... there's no judging, no making fun of, no rude comments.

Maybe I'm wrong and this is all lies or part of this image that I have of others is wrong... I don't know because I've never experienced something like this. But I believe something like this does exist, I know it does (based on vlogs I watch on Youtube, mostly of "The Brit Crew" [Zoe from Zoella, Marcus Butler, Tanya Burr, Jim Chapman, Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter, Alfie from Pointless Blog and so on]).

That type of friendship (with people who get me, who will not judge me or make fun of me, who are mature and accept other people's choices and believes) is the type of friendship I want to have.

So if you feel like I feel comment down below and share the things you appreciate in good and true friendship. And if you have great friends comment down below some of the things you like to do together or anything you feel like you want to share with me.
That's everything for now, thanks for reading. Don't forget to check out all of my social media sites.
Have a great day or night, depending on where you live.

Love you all!!!
Carolina xx

The most amazing movies

Hello little ones!! Today I have a surprise for you...
As you should've known by now (and if you don't - Hi! I'm Carolina, nice to meet you. I occasionally share my life with you people and talk about things that are a big deal for me... so I think you should follow my blog and any other social site I'm in... who knows, you may like me and all the weird stuff that I do every day...we may even become friends...) I love films to death. I wanna be an actress so it's really important for me to have a connection with the movies, the story... And what do I consider a connection??...

Connection: a relationship in which a person or thing is linked or associated with something else.

A connection for me is when you get so into the story, the characters lives and everything that happens, that you start to feel like you're a part of the movie... A connection is when you start to cry when something bad happens... when you laugh when everyone's laughing inside the movie... when you forget about your real life and all the things you have going on at the moment and you feel like the movie is your life...

There's lots of films, really good films in the world, but only a few have made me feel like I had this connection. Sometimes is because I relate to one of the characters, sometimes (and this times I get really fascinated) is because the details, the story, the beginning, the end, everything in the movie is so wonderfully made that you just feel like you're in heaven... even when it's the complete opposite of heaven.
So I decided to share this list of movies that I connect with because I'm bored and I have nothing to do... no, actually is because I want you to know a little bit more about me. I don't know why I like to share my life with the world but the fact is that I do like it so here are the nominees for the best movies of my life (aka the movies themselves):
-Harry Potter, the saga
-The Hunger Games & The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (and probably the rest of the movies, yet to come)
-The Perks of Being a Wallflower
-Friends With Benefits
-The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
-The Holiday (classic Christmas movie)
-Stuck in Love
...and movies yet to come...

YAY! Now you know a short list of the movies I like and maybe that will give you a clue about my personality (if you do wanna know about it...).

That is all for now! Be sure to follow me on any other social media, all linked on the side bar. Follow me on Bloglovin' so that you can keep up with my blog posts. Thanks for reading! I love you and I'll talk to you soon. B-bye!! ;)

My New Year's Resolutions

Hello!!!
Today I wanted to share my resolutions for this year because I feel like 2014 is going to be a good year and I think if I work hard I'm gonna be able to accomplish what I want. I also feel very happy and excited about this year and what it has to offer me... I am finally ready to change my life for the better :)

So here are the resolutions:
1. lose weight (to be healthy not to be thin)
2. eat healthier
3. workout more often
4. work part-time
5. do as much things as I can and try new things
6. be less worried, be less stressed

9. be less shy, be less anxious
10. go out of my comfort zone
11. think more about myself
12. Youtube & Blog

So these are the 12 main things I want to accomplish this year. There are loads of other stuff I'd like to do but some of them are not only up to me, for example making new friends... I can't just force somebody, haha. It has to happen in its own time :)

Back Again

Hello girls and boys!! I'm back... again...

As some of you may know (or not) I started this blog in May 2013. Looking back on this year I see that this blog made me feel really good about myself and whenever I wrote something or had some sort of idea, I'd feel really excited and I'd forget all my problems and I'd feel relaxed, like I was going on holiday... but this is much more affordable :)

I decided to take a break from writing on Summer and another break quite recently, in November, due to being so stressed about school's final exams and projects, for this past term... 2 more to go :(
But I promised I'd be back and I'm not gonna stop writing this blog posts for a while.

I also have some exciting news! I've wanted to do this for a couple of years now but I was never confident enough to "take the risk". But now I am so I'm happy to announce that I'll be starting a Youtube channel soon :D (the link is on top of the blog if you want to check it out)

That's all for now. Look foward to hearing from me quite soon and I'll talk to you in 2014!! :)
Have a great year!

Types of exercise

In continuation of this "Make yourself feel better" series, today I have for you some exercises that will not only make you feel better, after you've done them, but also help you stay fit (advisory: might not work for everyone. As I said last week I'm not a professional in this area.)

The first thing to remember is that the routine of exercises has to be scheduled because otherwise you might fail on exercising regularly. Choose how often you want to exercise. For example, if you want to do it 3 days a week maybe try to alternate the days. It would be something like this:
-Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: exercise
-Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays: no exercise

The next thing is how much time: If you want to workout 3 days in a week, do about 45min to 1 hour each day. If you exercise more times a week, do less time: if you workout 5 times a week do about 30min each day. This way you won't over-exercise because if you did you'd feel really tired at the end of the week.

Finally the types of exercise you can do. Keep in mind, alternating exercises is good but if you can't do something don't push yourself, take your time. If you train hard one day you might be able to do all the exercises.
-walking, jogging or running (start with walking and slowly upgrade the speed)
-sign up into a gym. ask for a plan designed for you (if you don't have the money it's okay, there's other ways)
-go for a jog, every 10 minutes run faster for 1 to 2 minutes OR jog and alternate with sprints (I read it increases the metabolism)
-choose an up beat song or multiple songs and dance; it's fun and you don't have to leave the house

Tomorrow I will post a list of foods you can and can't eat when trying to lose weight or just if you want to eat healthier. (Once again I'm not a professinal in this area; all of this is based on my personal experiences)

Thanks for reading! I will talk to you tomorrow :) B-bye!!

Change Your Life - Lists

Last week the post was about how to create an exercise routine so this week is gonna be about the types of exercise you can do and the types of food you should and should avoid.

(...)
Now that you know how to create a schedule it's time to create the lists. I have plenty of them but the 3 that I find are the most important ones are:
-types of exercises
-foods you should avoid eating often
-quotes/phrases that will help you staying focused and not giving up

I'm not a professional nutricionist or something like that but I will create the first two lists and I will post them for anyone who wants. The 3rd list will also have its own post but that you can find anywhere. If you want one right away go on Tumblr and search for quotes, write them on a piece of paper and keep that list in a place you look at often. It will boost your confidence and willing power everytime you read it.

Next week's post is going to be about the types of exercise you can do to stay fit. The post about the foods you should or shouldn't eat is going up on sunday and the post about the quotes or phrases is probably going up the following weekend (not sure yet).

Thanks for reading! I hope this was somehow helpful and if you have any requests just comment below or tweet me (@Carolina_Rosa16). Talk to you next week. B-bye!! ;)

Change Your Life - Exercising

Do you want to have a better life, start living a healthy lifestyle and be happy with the way you are inside and out? If so this is the post that will encourage you. But keep one thing in mind: this is just a bunch of words online, they're not a miracle. You have to gain the courage and willing power for yourself. Shall we start?...

The first thing I think it's important and will most definitely help you is to plan things. Having a detailed schedule and a list or more will save you time and you'll have more control in this first phase of your life change. One note: Starting is not easy at all! You'll think it's gonna be really easy but, unless you have a strong and huge willing power, it won't. So keep this in mind: Don't give up, keep going even if you don't feel like doing it anymore. You'll regret the choice of giving up.
Doing a schedule is not hard. If you're in school or you have a job, or both, make sure that working out does not interfere with that. Schedule some time to go for a jod or do some home exercising, or go to the gym if you can or when you don't have anything to do.
For example: myself. I'm still studying and as I have all my classes at morning time I scheduled my working out routine to the afternoons. My week is basically planned like this:
-Go to school;
-Come home from school;
-Have lunch and rest a little;
-Do my homework/study for tests (for as long as I need);
-Have a little snack and then do some home exercising or go for an afternoon job.

Try to do this at least # times a week.

(to be continued...)

Role Models - Part 2

Taylor Swift, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have been a part of my life for a little more than 2 years.

Taylor Swift is out of the 8 girls the one I relate to the least but I love her as much as I love the others!! She has thought me never to care about what others think, specially when it comes to love.
People talk absolute crap about her and say she's a b*tch because she dates this or this guy to write songs. Yeah, she dated them... so what?! She has the right to do it and she has the right to write lyrics for her songs too. You may say she dates the guys just to make good songs... I think you're just JEALOUS AS HELL!!! I feel and I know that she dates the guys cuz she's trying to find love... eventually they'll break up because he, she or both of them knew it wasn't gonna work anymore. Most of the times she's hurt, because love is a painful thing and she writes songs to express her feelings.
And this is the reason I love her and the reason I respect her... she has a good way to turn something that is negative for her into a positive thing for her fans!!

The Little Mix girls are my favorite girl band and 4 of my favorite people in the world. They're like big sisters (once again) who said to me never to give up on my dreams and to embrace every moment as if it will be the last. When they entered The X Factor UK they made history by being the first ever group to win the show! That inspired me and everytime people talk about them it's like they're talking about me. I feel very emotional when watching Little Mix's videos, photos, listening to their songs because deep down I want to be like them. I want to enter The X Factor UK, be put in a girl band and maybe even win the show. It's a recent dream but it's very important to me!!
Individually they do and say things that kinda are parts of the perfect big sister, they complete each other and they complete me! :)

Jade is absolutely gorgeous, amazing and very cute! She's like the baby of the group tho she's not the youngest one. She thought me never to give up on anything I want. If I fail I must get back on my feet and try harder the following times till I get to the place I want! She went to X Factor 2 times before she finally made it and look where she is right now!!

Perrie is oddly cute! Even though she burps, farts eats a lot, does animal impressions, she's perfect. Those things make her perfect and so amazingly beautiful!!! I relate a lot to her because my personality is very similar to her's... the things she does, the way she dresses, the way she is... is so like me, I love it!! :)

Jesy is my girl crush out of the 4! She is absolutely beautiful, amazing, perfect, gorgeous. Her face, her hair, her clothes, her eyes, her voice, her body, her personality, her laugh... Everything about her is pure perfection.
I can also relate a lot to her because of body image issues. I find that she's now in a healthy and happy place and state of mind, so I feel really proud, I'm ver happy for her and I'd like to find myself in that same place and state of mind some day!!

Leigh-Anne, last but not least, is the funny one. She is obviously beautiful and she has a really cool style and that hair... OMG, the hair is perfect! But it's her fun and out going personality that makes me feel happy everytime I think about her.
If I was having a bad day I'd like to have her with me because I know for sure that she would brighten up my day with all her jokes and funny accents. She's my little Leigh and I love her to bits!! <3 <3

The 4 of them are like soul mates of mine!! I love them till the end of the world, till the moon and back, across the Universe!

Basically these are my 8 big sisters! They're the people who teach me new things about life almost everyday and even though I don't know them personally it's like they have always been a part of my life!

That's it for now, sorry for the long two part post but it's the way I feel and I had to express it with every word I could.
Thank you very much and I'll talk to you next weekend! Bye!! :) <3

(If you want to comment below saying me who are your inspirations I'd be happy to read it!)
